This construction industry expert learned the ropes by spending the better part of the last two decades in the field “up close and personal” with his policyholders. David also helped build a few things himself over the years — including his own business, Alliance Insurance Agency, and the Sleeper Sewell Agency, where he served as Producer from 1994 to 1999.

He and his father, Don Barnett, joined partners Mike Boyd and Tim Shackelford in 2011 to form Boyd, Shackelford, Barnett & Dixon, where the gravitational pull toward building and supporting others remains as strong as ever. While he’s comfortable in a hard hat surveying a worksite, you won’t have to twist David’s arm to put on a fishing hat for a weekend on Lake Texoma with wife Annette and children Alexandra and Anthony.
