Jeff Wolfla began his career in 2005, working for a premier electrical and mechanical contractor in Dallas, Texas. While serving as Safety Director, he was responsible for the development and execution of the safety strategy, including loss prevention, safety training, and development, safety project management, energized work, and compliance. Jeff has an in-depth knowledge of electrical safety in NFPA 70E. He has led corporate electrical safety process improvement programs, created energized work processes for employees, and led his organization in a zero-electrical incident record for nearly ten years straight with an average of 700,000 annual work hours.

Jeff’s passion for and knowledge in electrical safety shines as he is known as the expert in the electrical field, frequently providing consultation to both general and MEP contractors. He is an engaging presenter and facilitates safety training for his clients. He truly enjoys giving back to the construction industry. He works to create safety cultures within organizations that incite employee engagement and leadership buy-in, impacting companies far beyond providing PPE or completing permits.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas Tech University. He is a certified Construction Risk Insurance Specialist and Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional. Jeff is also a Certified OSHA Outreach Trainer, and an Electrical Safety, Trenching and Excavation, Fall Protection and Confined Space Trainer.

Outside of work, Jeff and his wife Tara enjoy traveling the U.S. and being active outdoors. Jeff is an avid golfer and collector of sports memorabilia, and he enjoys the competition of all kinds, including a good challenge on the cornhole boards. He is also an accomplished marathon runner, completing the Dallas BMW Marathon in 2019.

As Vice President, Insurance and Safety Services for Boyd, Shackleford, Barnett & Dixon, LLC, Jeff is responsible for providing clients with property and casualty insurance, while offering the value-add of safety consulting to those he serves. He is a member of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC), American Society of Safety Professionals, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the Damage Prevention Council (Texas 811), and is an electrical consultant for OSHA. Previously, Jeff served as Chair of the TEXO Safety Committee, is Co-Founder of the Safety Professional Career Development Mentor Program, and is CoFounder of the Annual Raymond L. Critchfield Scholarship.
